Managing account content
At Bommie, we believe in giving you control over the content you share
while maintaining the integrity of our community-sourced database. This
guide explains how to manage your posts, reports, and contributions.
Reports & Feedback
We value your input in keeping the Bommie community safe and accurate.
You can submit reports and feedback directly within the application:
-
Content Reports: Report inappropriate posts,
incorrect site information, or spam by tapping the options menu (three
dots icon) on any post or site page.
-
General Feedback: Navigate to your
Profile tab and select the "Feedback" option to send
us general suggestions or report app issues.
Managing Your Posts
You have full control over the photos, videos, and captions you share.
You can delete your posts at any time.
How to delete a post:
-
Open the Bommie app and go to the Profile tab.
-
Tap on Account Activity to view a list of all your
contributions.
- Locate the post you wish to remove.
-
Tap the Trash icon or the
Options menu (three vertical dots) on the post
card.
-
Confirm your choice by tapping "Delete" in the confirmation prompt.
Note: Once a post is deleted, it is permanently removed from our
servers and cannot be recovered.
Bommies
"Bommies" represent real-world dive site locations and are considered
community resources. To ensure the map remains accurate for everyone,
individual users cannot "delete" a Bommie location once it has been
established.
However, you can contribute to their accuracy:
-
Editing: You can edit site details (like depth,
access type, or description) to improve accuracy.
-
History: All changes to a site are tracked. You can
view the history of edits by tapping the
History (clock icon) button on any Bommie site sheet.
This ensures transparency and allows the community to verify
information.
